3 Day Trek to Inle Lake
Day 1 (5-6 Hours of Hiking) 1. Start from the hotel after breakfast, 2.5 walk through the Pine Forest - it is a great chance to visit MYIN MA HTI CAVE which is 200 million years old. The cave is 1028 ft long so it takes about 30 minutes to walk and have lunch in the local shop. 2. After lunch you walk for 1.5 hours to PA Ya PHYU village and INN WUN village & another 1.5 hour walk to LAMINE village where we are going to sleep in a local farmer's house. Day 2 (6 Hours of Hiking) 1. Followed by a 1 hour walk to Pin Nwe and 20 minutes to Paw Ke Village (Pa Oh Ethnic Group) where you will learn about the local trade (weaving). You will also spend some time with a local family and have a cup of green tea. 2. Continue trekking for around 1 Hour to Khone Hla Village (Da Nu Tribe). We will stop here for some freshly prepared lunch, which you can enjoy whilst looking across to the mountains at the mesmerizing view. 3. Continue with the trek passing by some rice fields. From here it is about 2 hours 30 minutes walk to Pe Tu Pork ( Pa Oh Tribe), where we will have dinner and settle into the night for a cosy home stay. Day 3 (4-5 Hours of Hiking) 1. After breakfast, we will start the day with a 45 minute trek to Hti Thain (Pa Oh Village), passing by a monastery. 2. Continue trekking for a further 45 minutes to Kyut Su (Pa Oh Village) where you can see bamboo baskets being made. 3. Another 25 minute walk to Nan Yoke village where you can learn about the local herbs. 4. Following on you will trek for 2 and half hours down to the Boat Station (Jetty), where we will stop off for lunch at a small family run restaurant. |
